the BBC - stop the pirates
It's time
to personal.
The scourge of pirated DOCTOR
WHO DVDs have blighted
the BBC for months, even more so after the broadcast of David Tennant's THE
CHRISTMAS INVASION.
The official
BBC DOCTOR WHO website has a issued
an email "hotline" for fans to report disreputable individuals selling dodgy
copies on auction sites like eBay.
The next
issue of DWM (368) confirms the eyeofhorus.org.uk's Source that SERIES 2 will
be premiered on Saturday 15 April 2006.
The only website to first stick its neck
out with that date so far that would make Madame Guillotine happy.
Thank you Source - again.
The magazine also confirms the titles of episodes
8 and 11.

Episode 11 - FEAR HER

1 | BAFTA People's Choice Fix
Come on
then, let's fix this award too.
The BAFTA Pioneer Vote is underway
today with
DOCTOR WHO up for your (multiple) vote to guarantee the Award.
Cynical? No.
The only show to beat is ITV's THE
X FACTOR.
The Pioneer Award sets out to honour programme-makers whose novel and bold
approach has brought both critical praise and commercial success. The Pioneer
Award shortlist is reached by a committee of national television critics and
the winner is selected by the public. It is the only Audience Award given
out at the Awards.
You can TEXT or vote online (using your multiple
email address identities) at the Pioneer site.
On the 18 January 2006, we heard
from a BAFTA Source listing the categories within in which DOCTOR WHO will
be (has been..?) nominated.
Nominations for the 2006 will be released either
on the 14 or 15 March, according to a Source.
UPDATED NEWS: The nominations for the BAFTAs
will be announced on Friday 7 April - according to the latest update.

Comic actor,
Peter Kay is star in SERIES 2 (episode 10 - LOVE AND MONSTERS) of DOCTOR
WHO.
The BLUE PETER create-a-monster (Abzorbaloff) episode!
Actually, Kay is the Abzorbaloff
creature, devouring
all that stands in his evil way!
According to the BBC PRESS OFFICE:
However, Peter will be swapping his trade mark
gags for more serious acting, when he steps into the role of the cold and powerful
Victor Kennedy (creator of the Abzorbaloff creature?) later this month. Russell
T Davies says on the casting: "We
are delighted to welcome Peter onboard the TARDIS! "Casting of Peter came about
after he wrote me the most brilliant letter to say how much he'd enjoyed series
one of DOCTOR WHO. From that point on we started talking about
a guest appearance. "However,
this is not a comedy turn. Peter is a versatile actor who has appeared in Paul
Abbott's Butterfly Collectors and The Secret Life of Michael Fry."
