The overnight ratings for DOCTOR WHO - INTO THE DALEK has been released, and it estimates that 5.2 million UK viewers watched this innovative episode of SERIES 8.

The episode had 24.7% share of the available TV audience. It was the second most viewed programme on Saturday, with the BBC ONE perennial drama, CASULATY being watched by 3.9 million.

The consolidated figures will be released in seven working days.

The episode had 32.5% share of the available TV audience. This is approximately 10% higher than the overall series average for SERIES 7, and only 1% lower than the audience share that the 2013 Christmas Day episode, DOCTOR WHO - THE SNOWMAN had.

The consolidated figures will be released in seven working days.

BBC THREE's decision to not re-commission the series' behind-the-scenes programme, DOCTOR WHO CONFIDENTIAL has been - sort of - reversed with the commissioning of the online-only, DOCTOR WHO EXTRA.
