AUDIOGO's commitment to DOCTOR WHO continues with the release of a CLASSIC SERIES tie-in, TARGET novelisation, and celebration of the series' 50th anniversary.

The seventh 'chapter' of DESTINY OF THE DOCTOR, SHOCKWAVE is released on 4 July 2013 and read by Sophie Aldred.

Lalla Ward reads David Fisher's SEASON 18 opening four-parter novelisation, DOCTOR WHO AND THE LEISURE HIVE, and is released on 1 July 2013.

If you have avoided all the spoilers following the accidental (?) USA release of the SERIES 7 Blu-Ray edition, BBC WALES has issued a brief video compilation featuring Matt Smith and David Tennant chatting about the role of the Doctor.

Filmed during the filming of the SEPECIAL EDITION 3D, this behind-the-scenes glimpse is wonderfully charming.

Ahead of the 50th anniversary special, DOCTOR WHO - THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR reveals John Hurt is the Doctor.

The episode confirms that broadcast date of the special; 23rd November.

PANINI COMICS has issues details of a forthcoming 50th anniversary special magazine, THE DALEKS - A DEFINITIVE GUIDE (116 pages).

Published on 16 May 2013, this the first of three specials to focus on the enemies of the Time Lord.

Today, BBC WALES staff have confirmed that DOCTOR WHO SERIES 8 is confirmed.

Production will commence in 2014 however the format of the series has not been confirmed (i.e. once again, sadly for fans, split into two segments).

This is complete speculation 'news'.

With casting-audition for the 12th Doctor actor continuing at BBC WALES Production Office (seeking: white male with blond hair) and a newly revealed "shorn head" for Matt Smith for a current motion picture (HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER) role, has the actor completed his time on the series with the end of filming for the Special Episode 3D?

Will the new actor be announced soon?

On 3 June 2013, BBC CONSUMER PRODUCTS revisits a Jon Pertwee classic from 1971, DOCTOR WHO - THE MIND OF EVIL as a "colourised special edition" two-disc set.

The Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and Jo (Katy Manning) travel to Stangmoor prison to investigate a machine which can remove evil from the minds of criminals. However, the man behind the scheme - Professor Kellerman - is in fact the Doctor's arch-nemesis, the Master (Roger Delgado), and is planning to disrupt a United Nations peace conference. Inside the Master's machine is an alien parasite which can make people see their greatest fears, and is growing stronger all the time. Can the Doctor stop both the Master and the unearthly parasite?

This six part story was originally broadcast in colour, but only a black and white print remains. However, as a bonus, the only colour footage left is included on the end of the video.
