As part of CLIVE JAMES IN THE LIBRARY series, Catherine Tate is interviewed by Clive James to be broadcast on SKY ARTS (digital channel - SKY 267).

As part of this year's CHILDREN IN NEED, David Tennant's Tenth Doctor will "clash" with Peter Davison's Fifth Doctor (1981-1984) in a Steven Moffatt mini-episode, TIME CRASH.
Peter Davison is quoted: "It is an honour for me to be able to make the connection between the Fifth Doctor and the Tenth Doctor," noted Peter Davison. "However, now is not the time for sound-bites. I can feel the hand of history on my shoulder, even if I can't do the buttons up!"
This will be shown at 20:00 (subject to change) on Friday 16 November 2007.
The official DOCTOR WHO comic features both Tennant and Davison on the cover of issue 389.

As part of BBC4's
Archaeology Night
there is an opportunity for NEW SERIES fans to view a CLASSIC SERIES classic, THE DÆMONS starring Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning. It is an edited version of the original five episode broadcast.
First broadcast in 1971 it pitches the Doctor (and UNIT) against the malevolent renegade Time Lord, the Master (Roger Delgado) as he summons the devil himself - or so it seems.

In a minor adjustment to the CLASSIC SERIES DVD sleeve design, BBC VIDEO have released an "artist's interpretation" for the forthcoming (26 November 2007), DESTINY OF THE DALEKS.
Gone has the "photo montage" and in comes a "electronic drawing".

The 1982 DOCTOR WHO spin-off one-off drama adventure starring Elisabeth Sladen, K9 & COMPANY is coming to DVD in 2008.
Phoenix Film and Television have been commissioned to produce 9 special feature documentaries for classic DOCTOR WHO - and K9 & COMPANY - for DVD release in 2007/08.
"It is a very exciting project!" explains Phoenix head of Production Rohan Latchman, "It's an opportunity to really delve into such a classic TV classic and try and come up with something different." "The new show is so high end and full of spectacular special effects, but classic DOCTOR WHO offered all in involved so many challenges on a weekly basis to keep the show fresh and inventive and I'm really looking forward to being involved in such an exciting project!"

Following a minor typographical error (it happens to the best of us!), THE OFFICIAL DOCTOR WHO ANNUAL 2008 has been released by BBC BOOKS/Penguin Character Books. 64 pages of the usual stocking-filling nonsense for children under 12.
Published (by BBC BOOKS) on the 4 October, DOCTOR WHO ENCYCLOPEDIA (Series 1 - 3) is a 192 page publication that explores the DOCTOR WHO universe for the under 12s.
